Corporate Governance Compliance

All companies listed on the First Board of the Maldives Stock Exchange are required to comply with the Corporate Governance Code ratified by the CMDA from 1st of January 2008. Companies listed on the Second Board are required to comply with the Code from 1st of January 2009.

Survilliance of listed companies governance Practices

As part of CMDA's effort to obtain information on the level of compliance among listed companies, CMDA Supervision Department conducts off site survilliance of listed companies governance on a periodic basis. The result of  the findings shows that the listed the companies are taking steps to implement good governance. 

The listed companies are also taking initiatives to participate in training initiatives for the board and the senior management and raise awareness among stakeholders to ensuer good corporate governance practices.
